In this guide, we’ll walk you through the easy steps of changing standby widgets on your iOS device in order to customize your digital experience and get the most out of your iPhone or iPad.
On iOS, changing out standby widgets is a straightforward process. Here’s how to do it:
- Unlock Your Device: To get started, unlock your iPad or iPhone and go to the home screen.
- The standby widget screen can be accessed by swiping right from your home screen, pressing the Home button on devices with Touch ID, or swiping up from the bottom of the screen on devices with Face ID. Your standby widgets should now be visible to you here.
- Edit Standby Widgets: To edit standby widgets, swipe down to the bottom of the screen, then select the “Edit” button. This will put you in editing mode so you can personalize your standby widgets.
- Add or Remove Widgets: Tap the “+” symbol next to the list of available widgets to add a new one. This will cause a list of available widgets to appear on your standby screen for you to add. The widget you wish to add will be added to your standby screen when you tap on it. Moreover, removing a widget is as simple as tapping the red “-” icon next to the desired widget and then tapping “Remove” to confirm.
- Rearrange Widgets: After adding all the widgets you want, you can rearrange them by clicking and holding the three horizontal lines that are adjacent to a widget, then moving it to the location you want.
- Exit Edit Mode: To exit the edit mode after making any necessary customizations to your standby widgets, tap “Done” in the upper right corner of the screen.
