Now that we are about halfway through 2022, now is a good time to revisit the goals or intentions you set for yourself.

Many of us experience a burst of energy as we begin the new year and we can be really ambitious when it comes to setting goals or intentions. The month of June provides us a great opportunity to reflect and reset our goals and intentions to better support ourselves for the rest of the year.

Below are some reflection questions or processes you can use to check in with your goals. We also want to help you create an iPhone home screen aesthetic you love and that helps support your goals! At the end we will have some quote widgets to help your iPhone match your intentions for the rest of the year from the ScreenKit App.

  • Ways to Check-in + Reflection Questions:
Acknowledge the things that have gone well for you, the things that were unexpected in good ways, ways you surprised yourself. Celebrate yourself and your successes so far this year. You have likely accomplished way more than you actually realize.
  • Identify the supports and the people in your life that you have and that have helped support you throughout the year already. Be sure to check in and if it is a person, let them know you appreciate them. We aren’t made to do things alone and having people in our corner helping cheer us on can be super supportive for your goals. What other things have been supportive for you this year? How can you keep this in mind when checking in with your goals?
  • Similarly to the first point, what are things that you have started? What are you currently working on? Does this align with the goals and intentions you set? Do you need to shift your goals and intentions? Are there things that you are wanting to start? Are they things you are ready to let go of? Really check in with yourself, your goals, your intentions, and allow yourself to adjust accordingly. Try to do this with kindness towards yourself– it’s okay if you aren’t aligned with something anymore and it’s okay to change your mind.
  • Remember to set specific, attainable goals and to celebrate the steps along the way. Sometimes we set goals that aren’t going to be compatible with the current situation we are presented with in our life. For example, if you want to start moving your body more but you haven’t been doing any exercise of any kind for a while, setting a goal of moving your body/exercising 3 times a week may feel attainable but it may actually be a little too lofty. Our brains can be tricky and if we can’t do things perfectly, sometimes we opt to not do them at all. A more supportive and attainable goal would be to move your body/exercise once a week in your home. Once you are comfortable with that and it is built into your current lifestyle, then move onto the next step with the goal or intention. It is okay to go slow! It helps us build sustainable changes and actually fulfill our goals and intentions.

Just remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made & God loves you. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ!

If you have not yet given your life to Jesus, here’s a prayer that will help you devote yourself to God.

Dear God, I come before You today with a humble heart and surrender my life to You. I believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God and was born free of sin, died on the cross as a payment for my sins, and rose three days later. Today I invite Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour. By faith I receive Your free gift of salvation and eternal life because of the holy sacrifice of Jesus Christ. God, today I repent and turn from my old way of life. Lord Jesus Christ, please come into my heart by Your Holy Spirit. God, I thank You for Your love and calling me Your own. In Jesus Name, Amen.
